This past year I have witnessed such an increase of the presence of God during worship that continues to amaze me. Especially as I travel around the unity in corporate worship has gone to a new and better level. I know many people are tired of song services and desire to come into the throne room of heaven to worship our King.
One of several ongoing prayer requests of mine for leading worship is that we would so join with the saints, elders and angels already singing around the throne that our time of worship would blend right in with what's happening in heaven. In the past year I have personally heard angels singing with us twice as we worshipped in such unity. Their voices are not only beautiful their voices were perfect, harmonious and always a full octave higher than any human can sing.
This past weekend I was ministering at the Atlanta Revival Center where I have been going to minister now for 9 years. The ARC is and has been a second home church for me as I've come to know many of the people there and built many friendships over the years. Vance Murphy is the pastor at ARC and a long time friend. He was actually the first person to invite me to minister when I first stepped out into full time itinerate ministry nine years ago.
This past Sunday as we began to worship in a packed out sanctuary, the presence of God began to fill that place. Several were on their knees in the aisles and others weeping under the presence as we worshiped and exalted Jesus. What seemed like only about 10 minutes was actually almost an hour of pure and true worship that we began to hear the angels sing all around with us.
Here is a testimony from one of those in attendance that Sunday morning (June 12, 2016) at the service:
This morning in church, I came in feeling beat down and discouraged about some things going on, and was unable to worship. So I decided that during the worship time I would sit in my seat, close my eyes, and just soak in the presence of God. While I was sitting there listening to the singing with my eyes closed I started to hear some of the most beautiful vocals, and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. It wasn't the people around me, and there was only one man (Damon) leading worship with no other vocals....and it wasn't in the speakers. It was as if it was just "in the air". I actually was thinking "Am I hearing angels singing and worshipping God with the church?" Then I brushed it off and just listened to the sound and took it all in. At the end of the worship time, Pastor Vance stood up and said "I'm not going to say I'm 1000% sure, but I believe we just heard angels singing with us!" And then several people throughout the room were saying "Yes I heard it!" So, if I am crazy, then I must be in the company of a lot of other people who can resonate, because they heard the same thing I heard!   (Amy R.)
Hallelujah! God inhabits the praises of His people and the angels want to participate as well. We are living in some very dark and uncertain times but God is also revealing more and showing up more where He is welcomed and truly worshiped. There's nothing like the sound of heaven when we worship the Lord in Spirit and truth!

I recently came across some of my notes and journaling from several years ago. I thought I would share one with you today that goes back to my time when I was just a worship leader at a small church - not knowing at the time that fulltime itinerant ministry was just up ahead for my life. Hope you enjoy!
From my personal journal: 6/29/02
This morning, after prayer, the Holy Spirit gently asked me "Do you worship the worship or do you worship me?"
If the Lord was asking me this question then I knew I must stop and think about it before answering. The truth is, I hope I always worship the Lord but lets face it, its sometimes easier to just go into auto worship mode without thinking about what you're actually saying or singing.
This weekend I'm going to be introducing a new song titled "Made Me Glad" from Hillsong worship and as I was still pondering the question from the Lord, the chorus from that song began to play strongly in my mind.
The song Made Me Glad, which comes primarily from the book of Psalms, began to resonate even stronger and then the light went off - HE HAS MADE ME GLAD! My spirit man was singing this song because God has made me glad of all the things He has done for me. Our God is an awesome, understanding, forgiving, healing, merciful and loving Father.
Psalms 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
Psalms 46:10-11
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
As the bride, believers, worshipers, we should be GLAD about the promises of God and coming before Him in praise and adoration because He is waiting to be close to us. God INHABITS our praises because He desires for us to come running to Him with smiles on our faces and like children, jumping into His open arms.
It truly is a privilege to serve and worship Him. I want my heart and worship to be real and pure because He has Made Me Glad.  So my answer is I don't worship the worship, I worship the King of Kings. Why? Because He is my everything. The one who has saved me, delivered me, healed me, the One who is allowing me to go on the greatest adventure with Him and most importantly to spend an eternity with Him. For that I'm truly glad!

"I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever." (Psalm 145: 1-2)
In 2005 the Lord was releasing new songs into me which would then lead to my first worship CD titled "You Reign" that was released in 2007. During the process this chapter became a major cornerstone of the title song "You Reign" which has been my personal favorite of all from that project. (Watch You Reign by clicking on YouTube)
One day, several years later, I opened my bible and it just fell to this chapter in Psalms. As I began to read it I was taken back to those moments when God released this song in me and how it came together by the Holy Spirit. I'll never forget as I was penning the words from this chapter to the music God gave me that it just felt like all of heaven and earth was already singing this song and that it was an honor to write it for that day and hour.
Today I want to praise and exalt the Lord and His name forever and I want to encourage you to give glory to the King! In closing, I am going to post Psalms 145:1-7 below so that you too can join with all of heaven and earth in the worship that is already taking place as all creation sings that God You Reign!

Psalm 145 (New King James Version)
 1 I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
 3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
   And His greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
5 I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
   And on Your wondrous works.
6 Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts,
And I will declare Your greatness.
7 They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness,
And shall sing of Your righteousness.

"Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 136:1)
Being a worshiper I am constantly drawn to the book of Psalms. Today I want to share a reminder with you that God is Good! I am so thankful for His love and mercy that changed my life forever and I just want to encourage you today with these thoughts and scriptures about God's amazing grace, love and mercy!
For those of us with a personal relationship with Christ, we can be thankful. We can rejoice in the Lord because of the things that are eternal and that can never be taken away from us.
• We rejoice and are thankful that our names are written in the book of life (Luke 10:20).
• We rejoice that we have a kingdom that cannot be shaken (Heb12:28).
• We know that nothing compares to the excellence of knowing Christ (Phil3:8).
• We rejoice that He is our exceeding great reward (Gen 15:1).
• We rejoice that this reward is incorruptible, undefiled and it does not fade away (1 Peter 1:4).
• We rejoice that His love for us is so great; the Psalmist describes it as reaching to the heavens (Psalm 36:5).
• We rejoice that He is sovereign (Isaiah 46: 9-11) and that He will work out all things that He allows to good for those who
love Him and are called for His purpose (Romans 8:28).
• We rejoice that through each trial He is with us, helping and strengthening us (Isaiah 41:10).
*(From Inspirational Bible Verses)
I'm posting Psalms 136 from the Message Bible below and as you read and meditate on this chapter today, notice that David says continuously throughout that "His love never quits" - how incredible is that!

Psalm 136 - The Message Bible

Thank GOD! He deserves your thanks.
His love never quits.
Thank the God of all gods,
His love never quits.
Thank the Lord of all lords.
His love never quits.

4-22 Thank the miracle-working God,
His love never quits.
The God whose skill formed the cosmos,
His love never quits.
The God who laid out earth on ocean foundations,
His love never quits.
The God who filled the skies with light,
His love never quits.
The sun to watch over the day,
His love never quits.
Moon and stars as guardians of the night,
His love never quits.
The God who struck down the Egyptian firstborn,
His love never quits.
And rescued Israel from Egypt's oppression,
His love never quits.
Took Israel in hand with his powerful hand,
His love never quits.
Split the Red Sea right in half,
His love never quits.
Led Israel right through the middle,
His love never quits.
Dumped Pharaoh and his army in the sea,
His love never quits.
The God who marched his people through the desert,
His love never quits.
Smashed huge kingdoms right and left,
His love never quits.
Struck down the famous kings,
His love never quits.
Struck Sihon the Amorite king,
His love never quits.
Struck Og the Bashanite king,
His love never quits.
Then distributed their land as booty,
His love never quits.
Handed the land over to Israel.
His love never quits.

23-26 God remembered us when we were down,
His love never quits.
Rescued us from the trampling boot,
His love never quits.
Takes care of everyone in time of need.
His love never quits.
Thank God, who did it all!
His love never quits!

Come, now is the time to worship…Many of you may remember that song from the late 90's by Brian Doerksen who was part of a worship movement out the Vineyard churches. I hadn't heard or even thought of that song until just a few days ago when the Holy Spirit dropped that line in me and said, "Come, now is the time to worship."
I replied back that "isn't it always the time to worship?" The Lord began to bring to mind the times throughout the bible, those moments when the Israelites or certain key people that couldn't move forward or even go into battle unless worship went in front of or before first.
Since 2016 began, I've been hosting the Wednesday Worship Hour & teaching a Worship Series every Wednesday at midday and in the evening time at my home church. It's like the Lord wanted me and others who have been coming, to worship Him first, before this year really got going. I believe He's preparing His people for what needs to be done this year for the kingdom.
As I pray and seek the Lord on many things about this year the two things the Holy Spirit keeps bringing to my attention is: Now is the time to worship + My hope and trust is in Him and in Him alone. Those two factors combined changes the atmosphere of our conditions and the environment we are walking in. Why? Because my eyes are fixed on Him!
Where are you going this year? What battles are you facing today? Where will your help come from? Like King Jehoshaphat, we have to seek the Lord. It's not the time to withdraw or hide, it's time to let our worship arise because we serve a mighty God who will go before us and defeat our enemies. God will make a way and supply the needs. Remember, He is our fortress, a very present help in our time of need.  So come, NOW is the time to worship!

"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." (Psalms 91:1)
You ever have one of those days where God is being silent?  I have but those are the times to start listening more earnestly. On one occasion such as this I noticed as I started to flip through different books and chapters of the Bible a theme began to develop. That theme was, "I the Lord God Almighty, will be your refuge, strength and protector - just abide and rest in me."
The Lord then took me to Psalms 91, which most of you reading this now know this chapter to some degree since its read, preached and memorized by so many.
Before I post the whole chapter below though, I want to examine verse one. It begins with He who dwells, which the word dwells here in Hebrew, is "yashab" which means  "To sit down, to dwell or remain, to make claim and/or homestead and to posses."
In a nutshell, it's saying that as sons and daughters of the King, we have the rightful authority through Jesus Christ, to have that heavenly, personal, intimate relationship and position to be with the Father. And in doing so we get to "abide" under His shadow - which is His protection, presence and glory!
The Lord is so good that He wouldn't even stop there at verse one though. Psalms 91 is so full of God's promises to us that it would take awhile to cover each verse. Today, if you are in a difficult situation or under the attack of the enemy, begin to pray this chapter to the Lord. In fact, I would even say, begin to worship the Lord with this chapter.
He is there already and there is no problem or situation that is too difficult for Him to intervene on your behalf. Take to heart what it says in verse one: He who dwells in the secret place….
I want to dwell and abide with the heavenly Father because He is so good and loving towards us. Thank you Lord for calling us to you and allowing us to dwell with you today in that secret place!

Psalm 91 (MSG)

1-13 You who sit down in the High God's presence,
spend the night in Shaddai's shadow,
Say this: "God, you're my refuge.
I trust in you and I'm safe!"
That's right-he rescues you from hidden traps,
      shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you-
      under them you're perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing-not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You'll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.
   Yes, because God's your refuge,
the High God your very own home,
Evil can't get close to you,
harm can't get through the door.
   He ordered his angels
to guard you wherever you go.
   If you stumble, they'll catch you;
their job is to keep you from falling.
You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

14-16 "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God,
"I'll get you out of any trouble.
I'll give you the best of care
if you'll only get to know and trust me.
   Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times;
I'll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I'll give you a long life,
give you a long drink of salvation!"

Happy New Year!
During the holidays I had posted on Facebook a small paragraph with a couple of Bible verses about the upcoming year. New Year's weekend I went to Michigan to minister at a church where one the leaders of that church asked me if the Lord had shown me anything about 2016. I answered him by saying that I believe it is a time to commit to the Lord even more and I left it at that. On Sunday morning, around 5:30 am, the Lord woke me up to put together the verses/passages that I was to preach on that morning which was also the word for 2016. I don't usually release words about a year but the Lord was really nudging me strongly that morning so now I'm sharing my notes from Sunday, January 3, 2016 with you.
2016 is the year of the ______________. Well, you get to fill in the blank because it's really up to you what this new year will be. While God has a plan for your life, family, circumstances, city, state, nation etc. He's looking for people to be yielded vessels who are filled with the word of God, the Holy Spirit and are committed in seeking Him daily.
As 2016 begins, many prophetic voices/words of gloom and doom and/or only blessings will be shared everywhere concerning this year. The bible states that we only prophecy in part so there could be truths and confirmations concerning the words that have been prophesied for this coming year. However, those words may/can/will apply to certain people, groups, regions or nations but all of it is conditional because it's still primarily up to you. You can have as much of God and that word that was released which resonated in your spirit. James says it perfectly in the New Testament. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you!
Here are two more passages that the Lord highlighted to me as well:
Proverbs 16:3 says: Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans...
Matthew 6:33 states:  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well...
Let's never forget who we are as Christ Followers. The Bible is full of God's promises including a complete DNA of how we look to Him when He is Lord of our heart and life and we are filled with His spirit. The New Testament is our blueprint to reach the world with love and power!
1 Peter 2: 9 & 10 says:  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Mark 16: 17 & 18 states: And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Do you want some keys to being a strong believer this year? Then let's examine three men in the bible who were used mightily by God.
Joseph-The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had in the house and in the field. (Genesis 39:2-5)
Daniel-Then the king instructed Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring some of the children of Israel and some of the king's descendants and some of the nobles, young men in whom there was no blemish, but good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to understand, who had ability to serve in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the language and literature of the Chaldeans. (Daniel 1: 3-4)
Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. (Daniel 1:19-20)
Stephen-"Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word." And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit…. (Acts 6:3-5) And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. (Acts 6:8)
Valuable keys to being used mightily by God:
1. Humility
2. Integrity
3. Godly Character
4. Wisdom
5. Love & Compassion
There's a saying that goes "it's not how you start but how you finish" but I say if we can start out with these keys we will also finish the race strongly!
In conclusion, here is the chapter that I wanted to share with you regarding 2016. Meditate on it and take in the highlighted verse(s) to your heart and spirit. Let's read Psalms 65:
1 Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; and to You the vow shall be performed.
2 O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.
3 Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.
4 Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.
5 By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;
6 Who established the mountains by His strength, being clothed with power;
7 You who still the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.
8 They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.
9 You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.
10 You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth.
11 You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.
12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, and the little hills rejoice on every side.
13 The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing.
I want to encourage you to continue to seek God first in prayer, the word and in worship. Let's make 2016 the year of the Jesus Christ being Lord of everything in our lives, family, homes, business and ministries and lets become the light of the world!
Blessings to you all in this New Year!

After leading worship and being in the weightiness of Gods glory at the Aglow Spring Retreat (March 27 & 28, 2015) I finished the weekend off by attending a prophetic service on Sunday night that my dear friend Eva Dooley was ministering at. After 3 days of being in services I went to bed tired Sunday night not realizing that God was about to give me a dream.
In the dream, I was standing on a cliff that was beautiful with green and lush colors of flowers around me. I could see that the edge of the cliff sloped down towards a beach area where palm trees scattered along the edges of the terrain and beach sand. The sky was filled with amazing colors of blue, white clouds but also yellow and orange like the sun rising at full momentum.  It was breathtaking.
I don't know which island it was but I knew it was Hawaii for some reason. I said "Wow, this so amazing" and then my wife immediately was on my left side and I said to her "Isn't this amazing? How awesome it is for us to see this?" She replied that she was in awe and glad to be seeing this as well. What I was seeing was so vivid and colorful, like an ultra high definition image of beauty.
After saying to my wife, "how awesome it was to see this" an angel appeared to my right side and said "If you think this is awesome wait until I show you whats next!" I continued to see the same thing but it was like a new lens was put on my eyes and the colors intensified but now I was seeing into the supernatural realm and there were angels in the sky and on the ground in a hurry. They were moving quickly and flying above me quickly as they were on very important assignments from heaven. I said, "Wow, I knew the supernatural realm was real, but this is truly amazing." My wife asked me who I was talking to and said "I'm talking to this angel, can you not see him?" She said no at first but then she began to see all of the angels going here and there and everywhere and she became in awe of what was happening.
I said to the angel, "this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen" but he replied again, "You want to see something even more amazing than this?" And before I could answer my eyes got another new lens put on them and now I could see that the angels were actually working alongside the saints, the bride of Christ. Everything was moving in perfect order as the angels were doing their part in helping the people to fulfill their callings and destinies God had entrusted them to do. I also knew in my spirit that this was also a glimpse of the new heaven and earth when Jesus would reign again on the earth someday. I knew at that moment God had given me snapshot that we are never alone and that He is always helping us and preparing us to do the kingdom work. When I saw all of this activity I said, "this is amazing, what an awesome God we serve" and then the dream was over.
When I woke up it was still so real and vivid, almost like having a memory from a real event that you just participated in. I look forward to seeing what else God has in store for us and His bride this year!
Thank you Lord for your goodness!
