"You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance." - Psalm 32:7 (NIV)
"When I am afraid, I will trust in you." - Psalm 56:3 (NIV)
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV)
This is the first time in a very long time that I'm writing a daily devotional to share. With all that's going on right now around the world because of the Coronavirus, an uneasiness sits at the back of most minds.
Since being home, under stay-at-home or quarantine recommendations, life has changed for all of us to some degree. Overall, I've been at a place of peace despite the fact that the current ministry events I had scheduled have been canceled or will be rescheduled at a later date. On top of that, I was just placed on furlough from my part-time job in retail this week. A few years ago, I would have probably gone into a more stressful/panic mode but at this moment I know that God has a plan.
This morning I woke up from a dream I was having which was me singing, You Are My Hiding Place written by Michael Ledner, to the Lord. In February of this year when I was leading worship for a monthly meeting for the Watering Hole in Bolingbrook, IL, the Lord had me do that song. I hadn't sung it or used it in leading worship for several years but on that day that song so ministered to a lady that she got up and testified how that song had been ministering to her because of what she was going through at that moment. God always has a plan!
You may be feeling at peace right now, but I know there are many that are not. Take a few minutes and reread the verses I posted above. Plus, I'm going to add a link here to listen to the song, You Are My Hiding Place along with the lyrics too.
The hashtag phrase right now is "In This Together!" The reality is as sons and daughters of the King we are in this together because He is able and faithful to do more than we can ask or think during this time because He loves us. Since we have the time, let's worship Him because He is good, and His mercy endures forever!

You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart with songs
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in You
I will trust in You
Let the weak say
I am strong
In the strength of the Lord
