Spirit & Truth Newsletter: August - 2010
Greetings,
Truly amazing that summer is winding down so quickly. The summer activities, fun, and vacations will soon turn to school starting and a new season as well. I love summer but autumn is one of my favorite seasons as the leaves and winds bring change to the landscape around us. It's a time I believe that God is bringing His people into a new level so that we'll also begin to change the landscape around us. One of the most important keys to releasing the kingdom of God into the earth is through true worship. It's a precious and powerful thing that we get to do as individuals who are passionately in love with Jesus. Words cannot accurately describe as our worship moves God so that He inhabits our praises unto Him and miracles take place. This past week, I began recording the first new song that will be a single release titled, "Hallelujah to the Lamb." This song, which will also be on the new worship CD to be released in the near future, came to me one day while I was writing the daily devotional. As the Lord downloaded this song in me, I knew it was tied to the book of Revelations somehow. The Holy Spirit began to direct me to these verses - Revelations 19:1, 4, 6-9: 1. After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, 4. The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: "Amen, Hallelujah!" 6-9. Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' "And he added, "These are the true words of God."
I stated recently in one of the daily devotionals: "Did you know that out of all the books in the bible, Revelations is the only book that is happening now and is yet to happen? All of the other books of the Bible are done as the history of the people and events have been completed - except for the book of Revelations. What an interesting thought." This book is in process now and is in the process of becoming as we speak and will ultimately come to pass someday. In closing, that's what the song "Hallelujah to the Lamb" is about, it captures both sides of the heaven and earth equation. We are worshiping the Lamb here on the earth now, but we also join with the angels, saints and elders when we worship Him together, corporately in the unity of the spirit. And finally, we see prophetically through the word in Revelations, that we the redeemed are all going to worship Jesus at His throne and sing with one voice "Hallelujah to the Lamb!"
