1. To lead and teach, all who desire to worship God in "Spirit and Truth.
Bringing all who are thirsty into His presence and into the kingdom through worship and the word of God.
John 4:21 says "Jesus declared...yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the father seeks. God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (NIV)
To truly worship Him, we must understand that God is Spirit, and that, we can't really worship Him unless we are filled and led by His spirit. That's the worship He desires. The truth comes as we spend time with Him in his word; prayer and fasting...all part of worship unto Him.
2. Evangelize and Expand the Kingdom of God!
Establishing an environment where those who are lost can be found through the grace, mercy and love of Jesus Christ. Encouraging them to walk daily with the Lord and being involved in their local church to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Seeing them in turn mature in the faith and minister healing and revelation from heaven back into the hearts of other people as the kingdom of God expands throughout the earth.
1 Corinthians 12:28 - And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. (NIV)
Ephesians 4:11-13 - (11) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, (12) to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (13) until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (NIV)
3. Missions: To see the world, nations and people through the eyes of Jesus.
To fulfill the Great Commission with a heart of compassion for the lost, broken, orphaned and widowed. To go into the nations with the fire of the Holy Spirit and with every available resource to accomplish all He has called us to do.
Matthew 28:19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 25:34-40 - (34) Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: (35) for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; (36) I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' (37) "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? (38) When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? (39) Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' (40) And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me.' |
